Maxwell Mangum,Jr., 71, of Charlotte passed away on December 3, 2018.
Maxwell was born on August 15, 1947 in Bennetsville, SC to the late Maxwell Mangum and Pansy Beacham Mangum Brigman. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Montford Brigman, Jr. and a sister-in-law Christine Cahoon.
He grew up in Laurinburg and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Georgette Mangum; sons Morris Mangum (Pam Perle) of Charlotte and Marc Mangum (Kelly) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; granddaughters Logan Mangum of Charlotte and Georgie Mangum of Mt. Pleasant, SC, grandsons Nicholas Mangum of Charlotte and Stephen Perle of Charlotte; sisters, Susanna Rea (Henry) of Carthage and Sharon Monroe of Laurinburg and sister-in-law Carol Baker (Bill) of Waxhaw and other relatives and friends.
