Hey, Larry and everybody -- I'll be there somehow.  I'll have to send my details later, but please count on me!  And thanks for creating such a wonderful concept for us.

REUNION UPDATE:

Hi to all Classmates:

We are now at 37 Classmate confirmations, and approximately 60 total.  For 75+ year-olds, this is impressive!  BUT, based on conversations, we think this will grow to 50 Classmates + others!

For those Classmates reading this.....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???.......FIFTY-EIGHT YEARS!!

I have failed until now to ask you to join me in thanking our Planning Committee for their tireless efforts to not only contact Classmates, but devoting a lot of time to try to find our "missing" Classmates!!  Please join me in thanking:

Lynn (Regan) Massey

Phyllis (Sewell) Clark

Mike Tyson

Archie Paul

Ronnie Hulon

Thanks also go out to Classmates that took it on their own to contact fellow Classmates!!  yesyes

Keep up the GREAT work, Everyone!!!

Later,

LARRY

Hello again:

As a follow-up to last night's message, I would be remiss by not giving special thanks to Dan and Ellen for providing their compilation of classmate information from 2015!!  We all know how hard they and their volunteers worked in previous years to bring the classmates together, and this list provided us with a "running start" for this year.

Thanks again,

Larry

I'm surprised and delighted to be able to add my husband John's name after all.  We didn't think he would be available then.  Thanks again -- Mary

I also want to say that I've been speaking with our friend and classmate Pam Stll Schneider, who won't be able to attend the reunion, but she wants us to know that she'll be thinking of us.

We are so happy that John will share this special time!

Thanks for sharing the info about Pam, and so sorry that she will not be able to share the special moments.

See 'ya (and John) in September!!

Wayne Watts was such a quiet, neatly dressed gentle giant.  I can picture his sweet smile.  I'm sorry I had to read his obituary to find out what his life has been like since high school.  RIP Wayne Watts

REUNION UPDATE:

Hello Classmates!!

First of all, just to clarify again, our Reunion is THIS YEAR, 2023, on September 23rd.  I apologize for any continued confusion!!

It is a bit difficult to give you an exact number of attendees, but we have 35 Classmates confirmed and paid. There are 7 additional Classmates that have verbally confirmed, but I have not received their deposits....so we should be at 42...and a total of about 66 people.

Classmates, we are 75-yr-olds+, and it is GREAT that so many of us will gather after 58 years!!!  (Conceivably, we could grow to about 50 classmates!)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE CONTINUING EFFORTS OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE!!!!!!

Last thought:  For all you classmates "sitting on the fence", WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  smileysmiley

Thanks, Everyone!!

Larry

I played with Gloria Jean when we were little girls. I was fascinated that they had a cow to milk in the backyard. She was a very kind and loving person.

               58-YEAR REUNION UPDATES

Good Evening, Classmates:

First, a wish for a safe, enjoyable INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

The response for the Reunion has been outstanding!

The Planning Committee has worked really diligently to contact every classmate, but reaching a 100% is an impossibility!  This being said, there will be plenty of "hugs and kisses" for the classmates that have confirmed attendance.

PLEASE STAY WITH ME FOR A FEW MORE THOUGHTS:

Currently, there are 12 classmates that have verbally confirmed, but I have not received their deposits.  If you have sent a check and you did not get a personal confirmation of receipt from me, PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY!!  Y'all may be aware that there is an inordinate amount of mail problems transpiring right now!!

Additionally, we (the Planning Committee) really need your personal email addresses so that we can develop a group email for those attending the Reunion (to keep you updated).  You are welcome to Private Message me on this Site or send to my email address.... Larry.morgan1947@gmail.com.

Finally, we encourage all classmates to reach out to any classmates that you have contact with and ENCOURAGE them to attend.  They can contact me or any member of the Planning Committee for details, but time is of the essence as we need to begin the final planning details. (The contact info for all Planning Committee members was detailed in previous Classmate Site updates.)

Thank you so very much,

Larry

                    58th-Year Reunion Update

Good Afternoon, Classmates:

Our Reunion is shaping up fantastically!  We currently have 41 Classmates and 22 spouses/others confirmed, and at least 4 more that have verbally confirmed!!

The Planning Committee respectfully asks those classmates that intend to go to the Reunion but haven't confirmed to PLEASE do so by July 31st.  As we begin finalizing the details, it is critical that we have a reasonably accurate number of attendees, thus allowing us to budget accordingly.

Does this mean we will not accept reservations after July 31st?  Of course we will!!  The more Classmates, the merrier!! yesyes  We're just asking for your confirmation by July 31st to help us plan more effectively.

As always, you are welcome to contact me or any classmate on the Planning Committee if you have questions.

Thanks...and have a pleasant evening!!

Reunion Update:

Good Evening, Classmates:

We are approaching the date of our Reunion, which is September 23, 2023!!

The Planning Committee is excited to announce that we have 43 Classmates confirmed so far.

This being said, we are in the final planning stages, and need a final answer from any classmates that are still considering attendance.

Regretfully, this will be our last "hello" and "good-bye" for many of our Classmates!! So why wouldn't you attend?

As before in all correspondence, you are really, really welcome to contact me with questions!!!!

Sara and I thoroughly enjoyed the 58-year Class of 65 reunion and wanted to add a public "THANK YOU" to  Larry, Ronnie, Lynn, Mike and all the organizers who made it a most enjoyable and memorable evening.  Although I had every intention of spending a few minutes with each of  the classmates who were in attendance, I regret that there simply was not enough time for sharing the many memories and recollections.  It was great to see everyone and I look forward to doing it again soon!

Thank you, Larry and all for last night! I enjoyed seeing so many faces that really seemed the same to me even after all the years. I never did know the words to the school song, but it's just as well, I wouldn't want y'all to remember me for my singing voice! Bill Brady, you shocked me but thank you! God bless each and everyone whether you made it to the reunion or not! Louise

Fellow Classmates,

I really hate I was unable to be there for our 58th reunion, but as I told Larry from the beginning there just wasn't enough time to travel from California and also take care of prior commitments we had previously made.

I am so looking forward to seeing pictures of everyone. Take care and I hope we are able to plan another reunion soon.

Don
