Vivian Faye Blades O’Brien, age 65 of Laurinburg passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Asheville.

The family is planning a private service to be held at a later date. All arrangements will be available in the Laurinburg Exchange and at www.richardbolesfuneralservice.com website later today, 12/18/12.

Vivian was born September 15, 1947 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Lester and Sarah Walters Blades. She retired from L.O.F. Pilkington Glass after many years of service. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains with her brother and sisters. Vivian loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George O’Brien of their home; sons, George O’Brien and Frank “Eric” O’Brien both of Laurinburg; a brother, Addison Ray Blades of McColl, SC; sisters, Sarah E. Blades and Barbara B. Fields both of Ocean Isle Beach and three grandchildren.
