Sharon Ann Britt (Walters) was born on April 21, 1947 to Carl and Lena Strickland Britt. Following graduation from Laurinburg High School, she worked for many years as an inspector in local textile mills. On December 24, 1999, she was dead on arrival at Scotland Memorial Hospital and according to her son, she died of a heart attack.
