Born in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Velna Peele and widow of the late Wayne Pickels. Doris was a retired assistant Scotland County Register of Deeds for 22 years. A graveside service took place Monday, Nov. 22, at Hillside Memorial Park. McDougald Funeral Home and crematorium is serving the family
