I am living the dream! Three grown daughters, all living away, two in Greensboro, and one in Aberdeen. Gained three wonderful sons when each daughter was married. Now for the biggest treat...six grandsons, ages 5 months, 7, 9, 11, 11, and 13, and two grandaughters ages 5 and 2.5... I can't leave out the most important person in my life after 46+ years, Marchia. I plan to work another 2 years and then I'll have 30 years to do what I want to do! Write this date down July 1, 2047. I want to see all of you there. I have been told by a beautiful 35 year old that she would jump out of the cake...only one bad thing about this is she will be 69. I have been in the insurance business for 26 years and absolutely love what I do!!! I have had numerous opportunities to leave the 'burg, but can't find a good enough reason to leave. Marchia retired in June 2009 after 29.8 years with the Scotland County School System. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion.

I was the last person in Ms. McCorkle's english class to give their oral book report. Too shy, unprepared? Now as I have aged, God has blessed me with the confidence to stand up and speak before large crowds. I was asked to deliver the invocation at the 1992 North Carolina Farm Bureau Agency Managers Conference.
